Our adventure began in Palm Springs at the iconic Trixie Motel. Puma collaborated with LA-based maximalist interior, print, and product designer Dani Dazey on a vibrant new capsule collection. Upon arrival, we discovered that Dani herself had designed the Trixie Motel, and let me tell you—it was EVERYTHING you’d imagine: FULL-BLOWN FUN!
Palm Springs greeted us with a blazing 108-degree day, so hot that the rubber bands in her bubble pigtails kept popping throughout the shoot. Despite the heat, the team brought the vision to life with a super fun, Wes Anderson-inspired vibe that was nothing short of perfection. From the carefully styled set to the custom fingernails matching the signature prints of the collection, every detail was on point.
I had the absolute pleasure of doing hair and makeup for all the girls, creating playful yet modern, mod-inspired looks. The team was so supportive, giving me the freedom to bring my ideas to life—it was a dream collaboration!
On another day, we hit the course for additional shoots, and I was lucky to have my amazing assistant Cynthia by my side. Together, we worked on multiple collections, bringing fresh looks to each one while keeping the energy high.
